Cyclic chronovoltamperometric method was applied in attempts
of oxidation of deoxyhemoglobin human blood solutions in different
anticoagulants on the gold electrode. On the basis of
obtained results it was assumed that the oxidation of hemoglobin
in 3.8% sodium citrate solution and also in 1% NaCl and 0.5% NaF
mixtures is possible.; Metodą chronowoltamperometrii cyklicznej wykonano próby utlenienia
roztworów odtlenowanej hemoglobiny w różnych antykoagulantach
na elektrodzie złotej. Na podstawie osiągniętych wyników sugeruje
się, że jest możliwe utlenienie hemoglobiny w 3,8% roztworze
cytrynianu sodu i w mieszaninach 1% NaCl z 0,5% NaF.

The Determination of Kinetic Parameters for the Reactions of Oxidation of Organic Compounds by Cerium Perchlorate. The Numerical Study (Part III)
Ignaczak, Maksymilian; Komisarskl, Stanisław
The present paper is a continuation of earlier works concerning
the method of determination of kinetic parameters for
the oxidation reactions of organic compounds by cerium perchlorate
in a solution of perchloric acid.
This paper deals with the case of oxidation of organic acids
containing the -C=C- bond and describes the influence of perchloric
acid on the reaction rate of oxidation at the compounds
being regarded as a base according to the Bronsted theory.; Niniejsza praca jest kontynuację wcześniej przedstawionych prac
dotyczących metodyki wyznaczania parametrów kinetycznych reakcji
utleniania związków organicznych nadchloranem cerowym w środowisku
kwasu nadchlorowego.
Przedstawia ona metodykę ich wyznaczania w przypadku utleniania
kwasów organicznych zawierających wiązanie -C=C- oraz opisuje wpływ
kwasu nadchlorowego na szybkość reakcji utleniania związków, będących
zasadami zgodnie z teorią Brönsteda.

Thermodynamic Functions of Activation for Viscous Flow in Electrolyto-Water-Organic Solvent Systems. Part I. NaI Solutions in Mixtures of Water with Isopropanol and Tert-butanol
Kacperska, Anna; Taniewska-Osińska, Stefania
Functions of activation for viscous flow ΔH*, ΔS*, and ΔG*
have been calculated for the systems NaI-water-isopropanol in
the range of temperatures 288.15-313.15 K and NaI-water-tert-
-butanol in the range of temperatures 299.15-313.15 K. The calculations
were made for NaI solutions with concentrations 0.5,
1.0 and 2.0 moles of salt per 100 moles of the solvent on the
basis of our previous viscosity data. The results obtained have
been interpreted from the point of view of alcohol effect on
the water structure and that of NaI on a mixed solvent structure.; Obliczono termodynamiczne funkcje aktywacji lepkiego przepływu
ΔH*, ΔS* i ΔG* dla układów NaI-woda-izopropanol w zakresie temperatur
288.15-313.15 K i NaI-woda-tert-butanol w zakresie temperatur
299.15-313.15 K. Obliczenia wykonano dla roztworów NaI o stężeniach
0.5, 1.0 i 2.0 mole soli na 100 moli rozpuszczalnika. Uzyskane
wyniki zinterpretowano z punktu widzenia wpływu alkoholu na strukturę
wody oraz NaI na strukturę mieszanego rozpuszczalnika.
