Związki genealogiczne i fikcyjne pokrewieństwa. Idea koligacji Radziwiłłów z Habsburgami w mediach XVIII wieku
Streszczenie
The paper presents a significant role of portraits placed in princely residences and spread in the form of engravings (for example the Nieśwież [Nesvizh] Gallery, Icones familae Radivilliane... of Wobbe and the Leybowiczs, etc.) and graphic family genealogies (among others the Radziwiłłs' genealogy of 1699, improved by P. Boese in 1742) played in shaping of the popular opinion about a special social standing of the Radziwiłłs as a royal family affined with European imperial, electoral and royal families. The research has encompassed the texts end engravings from old prints (e.g. funeral speeches, wedding descriptions and panegyrics) in which the idea is clearly visible.
