Тупикова (Tupikova), Наталия (Natalia); Лукащук (Lukaschuk), Анна (Anna)
The report focuses on the issue – representation of normative stylistic codifications of the
XVIII cen. in the works by A. P. Sumarokov, V. K. Trediakovsky, M. V. Lomonosov, G. R.
Gerzhavina.
The study of language patterns typical of elevated ode-style gives the opportunity to uncover
the potentials of affective language means and their improvement, to reveal the environment for
alterations and demolition of ode genre canon (the coordination between the matter, style, type of
speech and literary genre) in the poetry of classicism, to elicit lexical means that will later gain the
status of functional normative in the belles-lettres style.

At present the language situation, formed in the former USSR, enable to divide the country
into two groups, the situations in which differ from each other radically. In one group the Russian
language is widely presented and is practically used as the second language. It is the language of
majority population – Ukraine, Byelorussia and Kazakhstan. In the second group all the remaining
countries of former USSR, the Russian language is not practically used, though in the very group
one can distinguish another sub-group of countries, in which the population is aspiring to learn
Russian only because of economic reasons.

The report is devoted to the results of the study on the word-building capacities and lexical
potentials of verbs and nouns in the short stories by A.I. Solzhenitsyn; the author’s preferences on
the usage of stylistically marked words (as elevated, obsolete, colloquial, low, local) are presented.
Special attention is focused at the occasional word constriction patterns that resemble productive
colloquial speech patterns, but at the same time represent an individual style of the author
in the usage of nominal and verbal lexis, which helps to allot a Russian word that is a close
equivalent for the concept in mind.
Image-presenting means and devices typical of the idiostyle of the writer are singled out and
analysed.

The semantic subject is an element of the predicative-argumentative structure. It denotes
a performer of an action or a bearer of a feature that is expressed by the predicate. The semantic
subject can be conveyed explicitly in the form of the dative case in the impersonal sentences of the
type Можно идти. It can also appear from the context or remain unnamed due to meaning
generalization or the absence of information concerning its referent.
