Miejsce Japonii we współczesnym obrocie licencyjnym Laskowicz, Kazimierz Japan, the second biggest economic power in the capitalist world , oftentimes arouses interest and even admiration . The country owes its successes mainly to rational activity ensuing from a wise policy pursued by the state supported by tremendous laboriousness of the entire society . An example of such activity worth imitating is Japan 's license policy . This article is devoted to analysis of the main aspects of Japan 's licensees policy . Its main idea boils down to an attempt at proving a statement that an appropriate license policy may re present an Important factor promoting economic growth. Japan , owing to its reasonable approach to all problems connected with purchase of licenses , elaborated what might be in fact called "model solutions" allowing for optimal utilization of purchased licenses . Despite the fact that the country has already attained a high rank in the world economy, it continues to follow carefully scientific - technical progress in all countries and purchase licenses guaranteeing progress and maintenance or consolidation of its position . Owing to its ability of deriving maximum benefits from the above advantages. Japan - after a short "imitative " period managed to pass rapidly from the exclusively buyer 's position to that of active participation in the world trade in licenses effectively selling it s own scientific - technical solutions and know-how. Against this background, a closer insight in to Japanese experience and example may be highly instructive and useful for Poland.

Racjonalizacja i efektywność użytkowania energii elektrycznej Karwacki, Zbigniew The article while taking in to account the present deficit of electric energy in the Polish economy and new possibilities which can be afforded by the introduced economic reform, indicates some ways of cushioning the effects of the electric energy shortage . There may be distinguished here two directions of activities aiming at improvement of the situation in the field of using electric energy. The first one of them envisages its rational use. In this par t of this article, the author analyzes administrative methods of alleviating the energy crisis, which a is at rational use of electric energy. There is also presented here a model of optimal capacity use , which combined with the listed organizational and administrative measure way largely contribute to "straightening up” the power, consumption curve, and consequently to its optimal consumption. The other direction of activity is aimed at promoting effective consumption of electric energy . The author proposes here a two-stage model aiming at maximization of effectiveness in consumption of electric energy . Finally , there are proposed two models in the area of Identification of activity pursued by an economic unit in the field of electric power consumption.

Koncepcje menedżerskie w zarządzaniu przedsiębiorstwem Stępień, Dariusz Analysis of this subject ensues from the author 's conviction , that at the time of introducing the economic reform in Poland it is advisable to ponder over the fact whether the present managerial personnel in enterprises will be able to adjust to new conditions, and whether a routine economic activity does not pose a main barrier on the way of exe cut ion of the reform. A leading motif of t his article is the author 's wish to show that such a threat does exist and the chance for its elimination is managerism. On the basis of rich American and West-European experience the author has made an attempt at creating a similar system although one that is more closely adapted to our economic conditions . The first part of the article is a chronological review of works written by chosen representatives of the managerial trend starting with its precursors and ending with the present time . It was the analysis of these works that paved the way for further deliberations on the subject . The managerial model is first of all synonymous with a new "economic thinking " . Such thinking may be implanted in the society through new forms of education , that will ultimately allow to obtain a qualitatively better managerial personnel, and these are the problems analyzed by the author in the further part of the article. Finally , the third part of the article deals with analysis of ‘the way in which Polish managers should be used in the future reformed enterprises .
