Some remarks on unifying teaching programs of quantitative subjects taught at economic universities

Some remarks on unifying teaching programs of quantitative subjects taught at economic universities
Kolupa, Michał
At the beginning of my considerations I will make an attempt to define what is
meant by unification. Unification means unifying programs but n ever the contents of
programs. I explain that in terms of an example of matrix definition. Each of quantitative
subjects comprises both lectures and classes.
I am not addressing the problem of dividing the number of hours into these which are
meant for lectures and those which are devoted for classes. At this point I have the following
suggestions.

Stańdo, Jacek
The main objective of the article is to present the proposal of the unification ot the
Maths syllabuses at Higher Education Institutions according to the newest standards. It
also presents the method of students’ assessment, as well as it analyses the new information
technologies applied in mathematics.

Zastosowanie MANOVA w procesie dydaktycznym

Zastosowanie MANOVA w procesie dydaktycznym
Domański, Czesław; Mikulec, Artur; Misztal, Małgorzata
In the paper we present the use of MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance) in
the evaluation of the teaching process on the basis of the survey carried out among students
of the Faculty of Economic and Sociology, University of Lodz.
The main goal of the survey was (1) to obtain some characteristics of students of the
Faculty of Economic and Sociology from the point of view of the reasons for the choice
of the studies at the UL and (2) to evalua te the quality of the educational process in different
fields of studies at the Faculty.

In this paper the authors focus on and characterize the qualitative differences which
occur in the process of formulating the concept of resilience of function. The concept is
introduced during the courses of mathematics as well as microeconomics. The textbooks
of mathematics and microeconomics for economics students were compared. The aim of
evaluation was to characterize the way the concept is formulated and defined (necessity
of prior knowledge, formal, algorithmic or intuitive approach), a language used (selection
of terms and symbols), a discrepancy (and a correspondence) between the ways the
concept is grasped in mathematics and microeconomics.
