The aim of this article is verification of the hypothesis of a strong influence of tourism upon the spatial development of coastal localities. Jastrzębia Góra is now one of the biggest and most popular seaside resorts in the district of Gdańsk. In 1985 52,207 tourists from all the country found recreation there.
