<description>Asymetryczne reakcje wynagrodzeń na zmiany stopy bezrobocia
Klonowska-Matynia, Maria; Przekota, Grzegorz
The essential scientific aim of this article will be estimate the strength and direction of reaction&#13;
changes in nominal and real wages in Poland to changes in the unemployment rate. The research&#13;
will aim at answering the following detailed questions: Is there a reaction in nominal and&#13;
real wages changing on unemployment rate in Poland? How strong is the reaction and what kind&#13;
of direction is this? Detailed analyses will be carried out with the following groups’ data support:&#13;
unemployment and rate, real and nominal wages in consecutive months of 2000 and 2011. Basis&#13;
method used in article ECM Model with and without asymmetry.

<title>Analiza migracji wewnętrznych w Polsce z wykorzystaniem modelu grawitacji</title>

<description>Analiza migracji wewnętrznych w Polsce z wykorzystaniem modelu grawitacji
Pietrzak, Michał Bernard; Wilk, Justyna; Matusik, Stanisław
The subject of this paper is to consider internal migration phenomena in Poland in the years&#13;
2008-2011 with application of the gravity model. The period of time covers world financial and&#13;
economic crisis which hinders economic growth in Poland and impedes internal migration flows.&#13;
In the investigation 16 Polish voivodships were considered. The values of migration flows&#13;
(for a permanent residence), related to inter- and intraregional flows constitute a dependent variable.&#13;
As explanatory variables GDP per capita and registered unemployment rate, for which separate&#13;
gravity models were specified, including also geographical distance, were selected. Estimation&#13;
results provide an evaluation of an intensity and direction influence of explanatory variables on&#13;
migration phenomena. Voivodships about relatively good economic situation are the centres&#13;
of population inflow (particularly from neighbouring regions) and their net migration is positive.&#13;
Territorial mobility of population of poor regions is very low.

<title>Zastosowanie modelu MESS w przestrzenno-czasowej analizie stopy bezrobocia w Polsce</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/10547</link>
<description>Zastosowanie modelu MESS w przestrzenno-czasowej analizie stopy bezrobocia w Polsce
Müller-Frączek, Iwona; Pietrzak, Michał Bernard
The purpose of the article was a space-time analysis of the unemployment rate in polish poviats.&#13;
In the research we use a model in which spatial dependence is represented in the exponential&#13;
form, based on the neighborhood matrix. This model, called the Matrix Exponential model, was&#13;
proposed by J.P. LeSage and R.K. Pace in 2007. It is characterized by simplicity of estimation, which can compete with other known approaches. The presented analysis was a continuation&#13;
of previous purely spatial studies (Müller-Frączek, Pietrzak 2011b). This article consists of three&#13;
parts. Each of them provides an analysis of the unemployment rate registered in Poland at the end&#13;
of the years 2004-2009. In the first part the unemployment rate was analyzed for each year separately.&#13;
Almost linear changes of parameters of the space models, allowed us to build a space-time&#13;
matrix exponential model MESS. It was described in the second part of the article. In the last part&#13;
the results, obtained using the MESS model, were confronted with an approach based on spacetime&#13;
autoregressive model.

<title>Zróżnicowanie wojewódzkie struktury pracujących według poziomu wykształcenia i grup zawodów w Polsce</title>

<description>Zróżnicowanie wojewódzkie struktury pracujących według poziomu wykształcenia i grup zawodów w Polsce
Gajdos, Artur
The main purpose of this paper is to present changes in working force structure in crosssection&#13;
of level of education and major occupational groups in Poland on voivodeship (regional)&#13;
level. Spatial differentiation of human capital quality is the main element of education policy.&#13;
Also, the assessment of the transformation process to economy based on knowledge requires&#13;
cross-section data analysis, spatial as well.&#13;
Data which concern labour force structure in level of education and major occupational&#13;
groups in voivodeship cross-section taken from Labour Force Survey have been used in this paper.&#13;
The data source specificity enables the assessment of labour force professional specialization&#13;
on voivodship level and the changes of this specialization with time. Combined analysis of spatial&#13;
and structural changes with the method of time-series-cross-section data analysis makes it possible&#13;
to draw conclusions about processes occurring on regional labour markets. It is especially important&#13;
in the context of education policy implementation.
