<description>Obowiązek wobec zasad czy rachunek konsekwencjalny? - Etyczny kontekst uwarunkowań decyzji aborcyjnych uczestniczek forum internetowego
Inglik-Dziąg, Dorota
This article presents the results of the analysis of media discourse around the issue of&#13;
abortion, women's speech as presented on the pages of the discussion forum ABORTION,&#13;
functioning on the web portal www.gazeta.pl. The primary objective of this study is to diagnose&#13;
the causes of abortion decision-making by the participants of this forum. Verbalized positioned&#13;
determinants of abortion in the context of considerations of a moral (right to life, consequentialism&#13;
and deontological ethics). Assumptions consequentialism and deontological ethics – as an ethical&#13;
context for women's right to carry out abortions – were assigned to two, opposed in public&#13;
discourse in Poland standpoints: the defenders of life – pro-life groups representing the&#13;
deontological approach to the issue of abortion, and the defenders of free pro-choice groups&#13;
(consequentialism). After this analysis we can say that in public discourse on the issue of abortion&#13;
in the analyzed online forum made it clear in the context of ethical considerations, including the&#13;
nature of both topics consequential and deontological, and above all stressed the basic idea of&#13;
ethics of rights – the question of the right of the unborn child to life and the scope of this right.

<title>Instytucjonalizacja i instrumentalizacja odpowiedzialności moralnej w społeczeństwie netokratycznym</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/885</link>
<description>Instytucjonalizacja i instrumentalizacja odpowiedzialności moralnej w społeczeństwie netokratycznym
Walczak-Duraj, Danuta
Paper’s main objective is to present main trends concerning re-evaluation of moral&#13;
responsibility in contemporary netocratic (informative) societies, in which modern solutions in&#13;
tele-informative technologies, introduced to everyday social practice by netocrats, result in&#13;
creating new ethics: ethics of netocracy. Those leading trends, concerning moral responsibility,&#13;
consist of complex processes of institutionalisation on the one hand, and of processes of&#13;
instrumentalistion on the other. From general reflection on the dimensions and descriptions of&#13;
responsibility the writer steps to the analysis of two main fields of social activity, where moral&#13;
responsibility has significant meaning, e.g. the analysis of responsibility in economic and political&#13;
activity. Moral responsibility and expected high ethical competences of individuals, acting in the&#13;
fields of business or politics, are still tested, especially in the crucial relation between liberty and&#13;
responsibility. The paper also mentions the problem of asymmetry between expectations towards&#13;
responsible behaviour performed by the others and the lack of responsibility for speech and actions&#13;
performed. Moreover, multiplicative character of contemporary teleinforamative means, supported&#13;
by exercise of advanced techniques of influence onto the others makes the diagnosis stated by the&#13;
writer significant.

<title>Kondycja moralna społeczeństwa polskiego w kontekście demonstratywnych i kompensacyjnych zachowań konsumenckich</title>

<description>Kondycja moralna społeczeństwa polskiego w kontekście demonstratywnych i kompensacyjnych zachowań konsumenckich
Adamczyk, Grzegorz
Pursuant to the concept developed by Helmut Klages, five types of morality characteristic for&#13;
contemporary societies with developed economic structures may be distinguished: conventional,&#13;
realistic, idealistic, hedonistic-materialistic morality and morality of the resigned. In compliance&#13;
with the thesis of this paper, the latter two types of morality should be significantly connected with&#13;
irrational consumer behaviours – demonstrative consumption, compensative consumption and&#13;
shopaholism. As our research conducted throughout Poland in August 2010 demonstrated,&#13;
approximately 1/5 of Poles aged 15 and more are included in the segments of hedonisticmaterialistic&#13;
morality and of morality of the resigned. As expected, the highest percentage of&#13;
compensative shoppers was found in the segment of hedonistic materialists – 1/3 of them buy&#13;
compensatively, whereas 1/3 of hedonistic materialists buying compensatively demonstrate&#13;
inclinations to shopaholism. The idealists constitute the second most susceptible to compensation&#13;
segment. Moreover, this segment leads as well in terms of demonstrative consumer behaviours.

<title>Problemy i dylematy etyczne badań biomedycznych w kontekście realizacji projektu "BIONET"</title>

<description>Problemy i dylematy etyczne badań biomedycznych w kontekście realizacji projektu "BIONET"
Łaska-Formejster, Alicja
Modern medicine is becoming more and more successful in the field of biomedical research,&#13;
including clinical trials, and that is why a discussion concerning ethical, legal and social issues is&#13;
necessary. The international perspective in this discussion plays an important role in this process,&#13;
because dilemmas and expectations towards it are becoming more and more important and&#13;
decisions which are taken have international range. The discussion which is going to fulfill these&#13;
expectations was started by partners of 6th Framework Programme BIONET on Ethical&#13;
Covernance of Biological and Biomedical Research: Chinese – European Co-operation.&#13;
A wider perspective on this issue and specific standpoints of representatives from scientific&#13;
circles from China and Europe presented in this article are just a part of a multinational debate on&#13;
problems and dilemmas present in planning, managing and implementing biomedical and&#13;
biological research. However opinions and statements presented here can prove the importance of&#13;
these problems and their inevitability.&#13;
While debating on challenges which the scientific circle has to face, both European and&#13;
Chinese partners were trying to formulate standards in realization of projects and biomedical&#13;
scientific research. It was widely discussed which conditions of planning, managing, implementing&#13;
and conducting research should be fulfilled, in order that these scientific processes, which are&#13;
realized within national and international range, would be conducted more effectively, safely and&#13;
with respect for good standards of science and ethics.
