Systematyzacja krajobrazów w wybranych krajach europejskich

Abstract

In recent years landscape has become one of key issues of policy in Europe, which has been proved by adoption of the European Landscape Convention by a number of European countries. Following the provisions of the Convention (in particular of article 6), landscape has also become an important topic of research agenda. This paper provides the reader with a general review of landscape systematization activities undertaken in some European countries as well as with examples of national landscape typology and classification approaches, with a view of describing and discussing the principles and methods involved.
