Abstract

Rating levels and research results are an essential element of scientific activity. Scientific advancement, distribution of funding for research, dispute competitions for scholarships and academic awards, require assessment of scientific achievements and reputation of individual scientists and research teams. Traditional methods of evaluation of scientific output based on a qualitative and descriptive opinions of experts – scientists working in the same field. In recent decades quantitative methods, comparing numerical indicators characterizing the achievements and qualifications assessed, have gained great popularity. The article presents SUW (The Integrated System of Knowledge Exchange and Academic Publications Sharing on Technical Science) an example of library activities for create the reputation of researchers.
