Kryzys człowieczeństwa jako erozja uwagi wobec własnej podmiotowości oraz wydarzenia spotkania z innym

Abstract

Wydaje się, że nic tak bardzo nie nurtuje człowieka, jak odnalezienie odpowiedzi na pytanie C z y m, k i m j e s t e m? Pytanie to wybrzmiewa – choć z różną dynamiką – na przestrzeni całości ludzkiego życia i wpędza osobę w poczucie egzystencjalnej niepewności, skłaniającej do poważnego potraktowania tej wątpliwości i odnalezienia satysfakcjonującej odpowiedzi. Świadczy to o tym, że poszukiwanie sensu jest istotowo wpisane w strukturę człowieka. Inną ważną kwestią jest przekonanie głoszące, że spotkanie konkretnego Ja z konkretnym Ty nosi rangę wydarzenia. Dzieje się tak wówczas, gdy podmiot napotykający I n n e g o w strumieniu spotkania uświadamia sobie wzajemne podobieństwo, ale także istotną niewspółmierność. W opracowaniu zostało również ukazane w jaki sposób wyraża się kryzys człowieczeństwa w sytuacji atrofii wydarzenia spotkania z i n n y m. Autor wspomina, że tezą eseju jest założenie, wedle którego atrofia uwagi człowieka względem samego siebie, wobec własnego człowieczeństwa, a także zapaść wydarzenia spotkania z i n n y m jest wyrazem niebezpiecznego kryzysu człowieczeństwa. Chodzi zatem o ukazanie na czym miałaby polegać uwaga względem własnego człowieczeństwa oraz dlaczego erozja tejże uwagi oraz zapaść świadomości doniosłości wydarzenia spotkania z i n n y m stanowią wyraz kryzysu człowieczeństwa.

It seems that nothing bothers human being so much as finding the answer to the question What-Who am I? This question arises – but with different dynamics – over the whole of human life and intro- duces the person into a sense of existential uncertainty. It leads human being to serious treatment of this doubt and finding a satisfying answer. This also shows that the search for meaning is essentially inscribed in the structure of a person. Another important issue is that the encounter of a specific “I” with a specific “You” has the rank of an event. This happens when the subject encountering t h e O t h e r during the event of the encounter realizes the mutual similarity, but also the significant incommensurability. The study also shows how the crisis of humani- ty is expressed in the situation of atrophy of the encounter with t h e O t h e r. The author mentions that the thesis of the essay is the assump- tion that the atrophy of attention to its own subjectivity, as well as the collapse of an encounter with the Other, is an expression of a dangerous crisis of humanity. It is, therefore, about showing what the attention to its own subjectivity is supposed to be, and why the erosion of this attention and the collapse of awareness of the importance of the event of the encounter with the Other is the expression of the crisis of humanity.
