During the implementation of the scientific project activity, the growth and sporulation of the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana ASREF 2860 were assessed in the presence of Fusarium mycotoxins. Additionally, the metabolic activity of B. bassiana under mycotoxin exposure was examined, the fungus's potential for Fusarium mycotoxin elimination was determined, and the metabolites formed during the detoxification process by B. bassiana were identified. A highly significant and innovative aspect of the study was the use of both pure substances—zearalenone (ZEN), trichothecenes such as deoxynivalenol (DON), 3- and 15-acetyldeoxynivalenol (3ADON and 15ADON), nivalenol (NIV), and toxins T-2 and HT-2—at environmentally relevant concentrations (0.1, 1, and 2.5 mg/L), and crude extracts from the toxigenic Fusarium graminearum DSM 4527 strain cultured on rice, maize, and wheat. This approach allowed for a more realistic representation of mycotoxin occurrence in the environment, where they are present as complex mixtures rather than isolated compounds.pl_PL
