Proces sekrecji płytek krwi wywołany promieniowaniem UVB

Proces sekrecji płytek krwi wywołany promieniowaniem UVB
Bednarska, Katarzyna; Wachowicz, Barbara
The effects of two doses of UVB radiation (1.08 J/cm2 and 4.32 J/cm2; 1.2 mW/cm2) on
blood platelets secretion of adenine nucleotides and proteins and P selectin expression were
studied. The effect of UVB radiation on P selectin expression (marker of platelet activation)
was compared with the effect of thrombin, which is a strong platelet agonist. The obtained
results showed that exposure of blood platelet to UVB radiation caused the release of adenine
nucleotides, but proteins in a small amount. Moreover, UVB radiation caused decrease of
P selectin expression on blood platelets, in opposite to the effect of thrombin. It seems that
UVB radiation can partly activate blood platelets, but the mechanism is needed to be explain.

Zmiany struktury DNA jąder komórkowych limfocytów po inkubacji z dichlorfosem
Waller, Zofia; Gawrońska, Marianna
This work attempt to examine the influence of dichlorvos (0,0-dimethyl-0-2,2-dichlorovinylphosphate)
on the structure of DNA from isolated lymphocyte’s nuclei. The lymphocyte’s
nuclei were obtained from Sus scrofa domesiica peripheral blood by Jones and Paulus-Thomas
method (1989). DNA was incubated with dichlorvos at the doses 45 цМ, 135 /хМ, 315 /tM
at 1, 24, 48, 72 hours. Changes can be seen after 1 h of incubation. Incubation with dichlorvos
affects the degradation of isolated DNA.

Aktywność fosfatazy kwaśnej i zasadowej u Drosophila melanogaster poddanej długotrwałemu działaniu dichlorfosu
Kontek, Bogdan; Walter, Zofia
The effects of a long-term action of organophosphate compound - dichlorvos (DDVP)
on the acid and alkaline phosphatase activities in Drosophila melanogaster was studied. DDVP
is among the most widely used chemicals in agriculture in the world. Examined enzymes:
alkaline phosphatase and acid phosphatase were extracted from several generations of
DDVP-treated strains of Drosophila melanogaster. The increased activities of tested enzymes (alkaline and acid phosphatase) in fruit flay is positively correlated with the resistance to phosphorus insecticide - DDVP. It was found that the stimulating effects of DDVP on the
activities of both enzymes was time- and dose-dependent. The most visible changes in the
activities of tested enzymes (increased activities of acid and alkaline phosphatase) were found
in the XV and XX generations of Drosophila melanogaster.

Mechanizmy molekularne przekazywania sygnału aktywacji przez wybrane receptory błonowe płytek krwi
Golański, Jacek; Watała, Cezary
This review paper concerns molecular mechanisms of signal transduction by various
receptor systems and the role of various agonists in the activation of blood platelets. Authors
present the physiological pathways leading to platelet activation and release reaction, as well
as those responsible for the natural feedback inhibition of platelet activation. The significance
of the conformational changes in platelet receptor glycoproteins, the reorganisation of platelet
cytoskeleton, the mobilisation of calcium, processes of phosphorylation/déphosphorylation, and
lipid bilayer fluidity in the modulation of the triggering of platelet signal transduction is discussed.
