<title>Wyobrażenia kobiet i mężczyzn o przestrzeni Łodzi</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/11085</link>
<description>Wyobrażenia kobiet i mężczyzn o przestrzeni Łodzi
Tobiasz-Lis, Paulina
W artykule zaprezentowano obraz wyobrażeń przestrzeni Łodzi kobiet i mężczyzn uzyskany&#13;
na podstawie badań prowadzonych w latach 2004–2006. Wyobrażenie miasta rozumiane jest jako&#13;
subiektywny obraz przestrzeni, który może zostać przywołany do umysłu przez wyobraźnię&#13;
(W a l m s l e y, L e w i s, 1997), jednak jego znaczenie jest dużo szersze, gdyż uwypukla&#13;
całkowitą wiedzę, doświadczenie, odczucia i preferencje jednostki związane z wizerunkiem&#13;
miasta.; The opinion about the existance of the difference between the real – objective world&#13;
and its subjective image created in the human mind has a long lasting tradition. It is&#13;
commonly belived that the image of the environment has a strong influence on the&#13;
people’s spatial behaviour. Setting about to design a city’s space it might be worth to&#13;
know in what way the city’s particular fragments are reflected in the inhabitants’&#13;
conscious. Research in this field may considerably facilitate the formation of the&#13;
environment in the way to make the inhabitants satisfied to the highest degree.&#13;
The article presents the image of the city of Łódź by women and men obtained from&#13;
the research conducted between the year 2004 and 2006. The image of the city is&#13;
understood as a subjective picture of urban environment which may be recalled to mind&#13;
by our imagination (Walmsley, Lewis, 1997) however the image’s significance is wider&#13;
as it highlights the whole knowledge, experience, feelings and spatial preferences of an&#13;
individual that relates to the inhabited environment. In the article, the presented image of&#13;
Łódź obtained within the study carried with a group of 100 women and 100 men is&#13;
treated as a dependent variable. The sex of the respondents aknowledged as the&#13;
independent variable is to explain the assumed differences in the city’s image recalled by&#13;
the mind of both women and men.&#13;
Presented reasearch included all stages of urban environment perception that is: the&#13;
image of the city’s physicall structure, its valorization and the spatial preferences. The&#13;
structure of cognitive maps received from respondents was analized with the use of the&#13;
elements outlined by Lynch (1960). Valorization of the urban environment of the city if&#13;
Łódź was carried out in virtue of Słodczyk’s method (1984) and the spatial preferences&#13;
of the city’s inhabitants were investigated with the use of the method proposed by Gould&#13;
(1974).&#13;
The analysis of particular images of the urban environment of the city of Łódź by&#13;
women and men made it possible to put forward two conclusions. First of all the sex has&#13;
a considerable influence on the subjective reflection of a city. Second of all, the city&#13;
center – the best remembered as appealing to the richest language of symbols is at the&#13;
same time the least preferred fragment of the city’s space considering the housing factor.

<title>Obrót nieruchomościami gruntowymi na terenie Łodzi</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/11084</link>
<description>Obrót nieruchomościami gruntowymi na terenie Łodzi
Dzieciuchowicz, Jerzy
Opracowanie to traktuje przede wszystkim o obrocie nieruchomościami gruntowymi w Łodzi,&#13;
rozpatrywanym na tle całego rynku nieruchomości, z uwzględnieniem warunków ogólnopolskich&#13;
i odwołaniem się do teoretycznych postaw funkcjonowania rynku nieruchomości. Szczegółowej&#13;
analizie poddano zwłaszcza transakcje kupna-sprzedaży działek niezabudowanych na obszarze&#13;
Łodzi w latach 2004–2005. Podstawowy cel pracy stanowiło ustalenie ogólnych właściwości&#13;
rozkładów przestrzennych liczby transakcji kupna-sprzedaży i cen działek, odzwierciedlających&#13;
preferencje przestrzenne uczestników rynku nieruchomości.; In this paper author concentrates on the land turnover in Łódź. The problem is shown&#13;
as an element of the real estate market in general and with its theoretical basis as&#13;
a background. Real estate market condition in Poland is also considered. The analysis&#13;
concerns selling-buying transactions of plots in Łódź in 2004 and 2005. The main aim of&#13;
the paper was to asses general trends in spatial distribution transactions and prices of the&#13;
plots, which reflects real estate market participants’ preferences.&#13;
Researches on real estate development in Poland in 1990–2001, based on the number&#13;
of transactions authenticated by notary, show the growth trend. One can observed the&#13;
considerable increase till 1997 (from 446 000 to 670 100 deals), and later on decrease (to&#13;
561 800 deals in 2001). At the same time this kind of transactions dominated in&#13;
transactions authenticated by notary (57,7%). In real estate turnover the most popular&#13;
were market transactions (66,9%), among them selling was on the first place. The Polish&#13;
joining the EU in 2004 had the positive influence on the real estate market. Only in the&#13;
same year the dynamic increase in selling-buying deals occurred. The spatial distribution&#13;
of transactions, when voivodships are concerned, shows a significant differentiation.&#13;
There were six voivodship with the number of transactions above state average –&#13;
dolnośląskie, kujawsko-pomorskie, lubelskie, mazowieckie, śląskie and wielkopolskie.&#13;
In Poland, as a whole the farm land transactions dominated in structure of transactions. It&#13;
also occurred that real estate demand depended on their prices and their type. The specificity of Łódź real estate market is the result of city stormy history and&#13;
present socio-economic situation. In period 1995–1999 one could see dynamic increase&#13;
of the number of transactions. This tendency is visible also when analyze the lend&#13;
register. The number of available on the market, free of building plots affects the number&#13;
of investments. The spatial distribution of such plots in Łódź differs in various boroughs,&#13;
but the longer distance from the center, the number is bigger. The way the plots are&#13;
cultivated or used depends on their area. The most numerous are those up to 0,5 ha,&#13;
specific for boroughs of northern part of central zone and nearby. Vaster plots&#13;
concentrate in the southern part of central zone and on peripheries.&#13;
In period 2004–2005 in Łódź there were 946 selling-buying free of building plots&#13;
transactions. Deals were made, although Łódź did not have land-use plan. The spatial&#13;
distribution of transactions strongly varies, but the most of the boroughs indicate their&#13;
number below average. There is correlation between supply and number of deals. As far&#13;
as prices are concern one can observe even stronger spatial differentiation and strong&#13;
tendency to increase during the presented period.&#13;
In conclusion one can say that during transformation period real estate market in&#13;
Łódź has developed dynamically and its importance has increased.

<title>Rozwój osadnictwa wiejskiego w regionie łódzkim</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/11083</link>
<description>Rozwój osadnictwa wiejskiego w regionie łódzkim
Wójcik, Marcin
W artykule skoncentrowano się na procesach rozwoju osadnictwa wiejskiego w województwie&#13;
łódzkim w kontekście głównych uwarunkowań przyrodniczych i społeczno-gospodarczych.&#13;
W poszczególnych częściach opracowania określono przestrzenne efekty oddziaływania&#13;
wybranych czynników (typy morfogenetyczne osiedli wiejskich). Z jednej strony przedstawiono&#13;
ogólne prawidłowości w przekształceniach osadnictwa wiejskiego, z drugiej zaś zwrócono uwagę&#13;
na oryginalność ścieżki rozwoju osadniczego na obszarach wiejskich regionu łódzkiego. Artykuł&#13;
ma charakter dydaktyczny, a jego celem jest przybliżenie problematyki rozwoju osadnictwa&#13;
wiejskiego w województwie łódzkim, zwłaszcza studentom podejmującym studia wiejskie&#13;
w pracach licencjackich (monografie wsi) i magisterskich.; This paper presents the matter of the development of the rural settlement in the area&#13;
of today’s administrative region of Łódź. The settlement theme of the rural areas of the&#13;
region of Łódź is one of the most often discussed issues amongst the geographical&#13;
society, and thus, there is a need to undertake multi-aspectual research of settlement in&#13;
this region. The area of the today’s region of Łódź is characterised by a specific path of&#13;
transformation undertaken by rural settlement and which stems from among others the&#13;
character of the natural environment.&#13;
The characteristic development of historical settlement and the later transformations&#13;
during the industrialisation era, as well as during the present times created a complex&#13;
spatial picture of village types. This picture is further complicated because the rural&#13;
settlement is also characterised by a large degree of dispersion. The detailed localisation,&#13;
morphogenetic and functional studies of rural settlement may be too difficult to be&#13;
realised. However, among all themes possible to undertake, the completion of&#13;
localisation and morphogenetic research of the rural settlement in the outer areas of the&#13;
region (parts of former large geo-historical regions) is seen as the most important and&#13;
crucial to achieve.
