<description>Teatr bliskiego kontaktu: Studia przypadków grup teatralnych
Analizy dotyczące działalności „teatrów bliskiego kontaktu”, odwołujących się do idei „intensywnej współobecności”, nawiązują do klasyków nauk społecznych (Florian Znaniecki, Bronisław Malinowski, Erving Goffman, Howard Becker), do teorii (horyzontalnego) rezonansu Hartmuta Rosy, teorii ozdrowieńczego zmęczenia Byung-Chul Hana, neotrybalizmu Michela Maffesoliego, do antykapitalistycznej krytyki Rebekki Solnit. Charakterystyki trzech teatralnych mikroświatów skonstruowane zostały w oparciu o źródła zastane i wywołane.   Działanie w alternatywnym teatrze wykracza poza sferę pracy zawodowej i wynika w dużej mierze z pasji i entuzjazmu. Twórcom i twórczyniom niezależnych grup teatralnych trudno wyznaczyć granicę pomiędzy życiem a sztuką. Dla nich sztuka to tworzenie wspólnoty. Wszystkie trzy formacje to szczególnego rodzaju ośrodki kultury realizujące swój program w szerszych działaniach niż jedynie prezentowanie przedstawień. Pragną  doprowadzić do międzyludzkiego, bliskiego kontaktu. Na łamach tej książki pozwalamy się im spotkać, choć pozostają ze sobą w bliskim kontakcie ideowym, myślowym, twórczym, a niekiedy i realnym.

<title>The Biographical Experience of Entering the Academic Profession. Popular-Class Lecturers at the Post-Socialist University</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/59443</link>
<description>The Biographical Experience of Entering the Academic Profession. Popular-Class Lecturers at the Post-Socialist University
Łuczaj, Kamil
This book is devoted to upwardly mobile university lecturers or people who “escaped the collective fate of their class”. The upward mobility of the academic faculty is under-researched in the peripheries of global knowledge production, although there is a significant interest in the social mobility of students. Up until now, no author has explicitly raised the question of how mobility is possible in a post-socialist higher education system, what emotional mechanisms it involves, and how mobility translates into cultural practices of upwardly mobile individuals. Translating Western working-class studies into the post-socialist context poses some particular challenges because of fundamental differences between Poland and the countries where theories of class experience were coined. I draw on Bourdieusian understanding of social class, stressing that rather than analyzing narrowly understood social classes from a transhistorical perspective, sociology should investigate multidimensional social space in which power struggles take place in a particular place within a particular time. The non-reproduction under study was facilitated by some historical and structural factors (e.g. the rapid expansion of the higher education sector in the 1990s, and socialist egalitarianism), but at the same time, the declining prestige of the academic profession made interviewees question whether their career is, indeed, a typical instance of social advancement. In the book, I discuss “social anatomy” (factors facilitating mobility and turning points of the career path), “physiology” (mechanisms associated with social functioning in a new class culture), and “vivisection” of upward mobility in academic settings (cultural practices of class-mobile academics).

<title>Samorząd terytorialny wobec wyzwań gospodarki cyrkularnej: Dylematy zarządzania wielopoziomowego i międzysektorowego</title>

<description>Samorząd terytorialny wobec wyzwań gospodarki cyrkularnej: Dylematy zarządzania wielopoziomowego i międzysektorowego
Podgórski, Marcin
W monografii przeanalizowano rolę jednostek samorządu terytorialnego (JST) w kształtowaniu i wdrażaniu europejskiego modelu gospodarki cyrkularnej w ramach polityki regionalnej Unii Europejskiej. Celem publikacji jest określenie znaczenia władz lokalnych jako uczestników wielopoziomowego zarządzania, rzeczników interesów terytorialnych oraz podmiotów przekładających cele unijne na działania dostosowane do uwarunkowań lokalnych. W części teoretycznej omówiono istotę i modele biznesowe gospodarki cyrkularnej, determinanty transformacji gospodarek lokalnych, instrumenty polityki spójności oraz mechanizmy paradyplomacji samorządowej. Uzasadniają zarazem potrzebę współpracy międzysektorowej, lepszego dostępu do finansowania, wsparcia administracji publicznej uwzględniającego specyfikę lokalną, a także większej aktywności międzynarodowej JST. Dobór jednostek pozwala rozpoznać możliwości najbardziej aktywnych samorządów, a nie powszechny poziom zaangażowania JST w Polsce. Książka łączy walor poznawczy z aplikacyjnym, zapewniając solidne podstawy do projektowania polityk wspierających transformację cyrkularną na poziomie lokalnym i regionalnym.

<title>Znaczenie trudnego dziedzictwa kulturowego socmodernizmu w rozwoju miast</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/59423</link>
<description>Znaczenie trudnego dziedzictwa kulturowego socmodernizmu w rozwoju miast
Waleski, Ignacy
The architectural heritage of the Polish People’s Republic (PRL) represents an ambivalent category of cultural resources, often perceived as dissonant heritage. Its negative perception, compounded by aesthetic controversies, technical degradation, and inappropriate modernization, complicates its protection and integration into urban development policies.&#13;
&#13;
This dissertation investigates the significance and development potential of socialist modernist heritage in Poland, focusing on heritage awareness, territorial impact, and cultural and economic value. Its objectives are to examine the integration of heritage into urban policies, assess its strategic potential, and conduct a comprehensive valorization of selected resources.&#13;
&#13;
Situated within regional studies, the research draws on local development theory, the resource-based view, and David Throsby’s theory of cultural capital. It examines non-residential socialist modernist buildings in former voivodeship capitals, selected purposively according to their functional diversity, architectural authenticity, and cultural significance. A mixed-methods approach combines historical-interpretative analysis, document analysis, field observations, and CAWI and CATI surveys conducted in 2023–2024. Strategic potential is assessed using the VRIO framework, while economic non-use value is estimated through the willingness-to-pay (WTP) method. The research findings are synthesized in the Atlas of Socialist Modernist Heritage.&#13;
&#13;
The findings reveal that despite limited public awareness and insufficient integration into urban development strategies, socialist modernist heritage possesses considerable development potential. The study highlights its capacity to strengthen territorial capital, urban attractiveness, competitiveness, and local identity. Its recognition, valorization, and appropriate management can support more sustainable and heritage-sensitive urban development.
