<description>Wzrost gospodarczy Hiszpanii w latach 1946—1964 ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem programu stabilizacji gospodarki z 1959 r.
Firkowska, Izabela
The article analyzes the crucial event in the economic policy of Spain which&#13;
was launching of the stabilization programme in 1959. In the period of 1945—1950&#13;
the Spanish economy had a ąuasi autarkic character. There were being developed&#13;
almost all industries with no consideration given to profitability of the domestic&#13;
production. This led to increase of production costs and caused a situation in which Spanish products due to thier poor quality were hardly competitive in the world&#13;
market as compared with foreign products.&#13;
The launching of the stabiliza tion programme brought about an acceleration of&#13;
the economic growth rate. Over the period of 1960— 1968 the economic growth rate&#13;
amounted to 7.77 per cent on the annual average. That constituted a beginning of&#13;
Spain’s economic boom reflecting such phenomena as rapid exp an sion of foreign&#13;
tourism in Spain and increasing transfers from Spanish workers employed outside&#13;
the country. As a result of industrialization the structure of Spain's economy underwent&#13;
changes. The industrialization process produced a decrease in the number of&#13;
people employed in agriculture and an increase in the number of those employed&#13;
in industry and service sector of the economy.

<title>Wzrost gospodarczy Republiki Austrii w latach 1954—1974</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/6277</link>
<description>Wzrost gospodarczy Republiki Austrii w latach 1954—1974
Pasieka, Marek
The article contains an analysis of problems accompanying the economic growth&#13;
of the Republic of Austria over the period of 1954— 1974. Selection of this problem&#13;
area was due to the fact that in the period following World War 2 Austria scored&#13;
considerable economic successes in comparison with the other capitalist countries&#13;
in Europe. The article sets forward to present the formation of fundamental synthetic&#13;
economic magnitudes characterizing growth of the economy, division into stages&#13;
of the period, and analysis of the growth from the point of defining the most important&#13;
determinants.

<title>Gospodarcze akcenty w polityce socjalnej państwa w RFN na przykładzie ustawy "o wspieraniu zatrudnienia" z 1969 r.</title>

<description>Gospodarcze akcenty w polityce socjalnej państwa w RFN na przykładzie ustawy "o wspieraniu zatrudnienia" z 1969 r.
Hadrowicz, Tadeusz
The author made an attempt at proving that the expansion of welfare activities&#13;
in a contempofary capitalist state is due — apart from undoubtedly most important&#13;
socio-political reasons — also, and that to a growing extent, to reasons of economic&#13;
naturę. The welfare policy is, to a growing degree, utilized to cushion not only social&#13;
but also economic dislocations of the capitalism. That is fully confirmed by the&#13;
government act of „employment promotion" passed in the Federal Republic orf&#13;
Germany in 1969. On the strength of this act the unemployment insurance, and thus&#13;
strictly welfare institution, was obliged to play an active part in the employment&#13;
policy.&#13;
Analysis of the main resolutions of the act and of their practical execufion&#13;
allows to draw the following conclusions:&#13;
1) in the capitalist system of production, which imposes a definite shape, form,&#13;
and rangę of influence on welfare undertakings being in line with logics of its&#13;
functioning, the socio-economic effectiveness of welfare undertakings must be largely&#13;
restricted;&#13;
2) the welfare policy, although it improves to some extent the functioning mechanism&#13;
of the capitalist economy, cannot for obvious reasons bring about elimination&#13;
of negative socio-economic phenomena immanently accompanying the capitalist&#13;
formation;&#13;
3) attempts at economic activation of the welfare policy will be, however, continued,&#13;
and they may even prove to be an inseparable element of further development&#13;
of this socio-economic formation.

<title>Rozwój gospodarczy Rosji w poglądach narodników</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/6275</link>
<description>Rozwój gospodarczy Rosji w poglądach narodników
Kostrzewa-Tomczak, Teresa
The article contains a critical analysis of the non-capitalist path of Russia's&#13;
development as voiced by the nationalists (narodniki).&#13;
The analysis is focussed on: premises of selection by the nationalists of the non-capitalist path of development, economic growth factors in the nationalists concept, causalities of non-capitalist industrialization and the state's role in this process as well as the nationalists postulates regarding development of social production forms in Russian agriculture.&#13;
The author tried to assess the feasibility of the development programme as&#13;
postulated by the nationalists. An important element in this assessment is an answer&#13;
to the question whether the non-capitalist path of develapment, if it was to have&#13;
been implemented, would have allowed Russia from the late 19th century to overcome&#13;
its economic backwardness.
