Praca dyplomowa w formie projektu (na przykładzie studiów italianistyki z translatoryką)

Abstract

The article presents an innovative way of preparing the B.A. thesis in the form of project, as an alternative to the traditional licentiate thesis. Such case takes into considera¬tion the situation which regards the studies of the first level, presenting as an example the Department of Italian Studies at the University of Łódź, which specializes in translation. As a project, we mean numerous forms of activities under the guidance of a promoter; the final effect of this work can be manifested by a concrete intellectual product with the possibility to be applied in scientific researches as well as in the social and economic environment, e.g. the analysis of the case, the program of the definite professional assignment, the compendium of knowledge, dictionary, literary or utility translation, Internet page, interview, documents portfolio. Moreover, the author outlines the legal frames, which delimit the permissibility of the licentiate thesis creation and its deliverance by means of a form of project.
