Streszczenie
Since many centuries different societies were looking for the best concept of general education,
resulting in different solutions, ideas and opinions. Various ideas show that different opinions on
the concepts of general education results from three aspects of education: student, society and
knowledge. The aim of this article is to show the complexity of concepts of general education, in
particularly in terms of the objectives and content of teaching ethics. The first part of paper explains
the concept of general education and brings closer three different perspectives of general
education purposes. In the second part has been done analyzes of two Polish curriculums for ethics,
in order to identify occurring in them the concepts of education
