Przepisywanie jako element strategii satyrycznej

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the “citation from reality” as a vehicle for expressing a satirical intention. The author compares “citation from reality” to parody, another rewriting strategy, and discovers that neither of them is satire-specific. Both practises can, on the other hand, serve to create a grotesque and realistic vision of the world. The utility of rewriting in order to articulate the satiric intention is strictly related here to the fact that the very act of rewriting, that is putting content in a new context, is conducive to irony. As a means of expression, irony is, after all, constitutive for a critical approach towards reality, so typical of satire.
