Abstract

Kitsch, empathy, justice. Cognitive study of archaism in Polish biblical translations

The article discusses the complex relations between the aesthetic qualities of translations of psalms into Polish and the figures of the language and semantic domains. The main method of analysis comparative study and identification of the Dominant Aesthetic Value (DAV), the epic frame of lyrical psalms, and the Cultural Archaism Parameter (PCA). In order to identify DAV and PCA, cognitive semantic slots analysis (CSSA) and focusing reference semantic domains (FRSD) were used. As a result, the author makes summaries in tables and tries to identify the pattern of the cultural parameter of kitsch (CPK) in the Polish translations of the psalms.
