The dataset contains an edition and Polish translation of the colophon found on the last pages of a Serbian manuscript from 1385/1386 (ГИМ, Син. 148, fol. 433–434), currently considered one of the oldest copies of the second translation into Church Slavonic of the chronicle of George the Monk, known as Hamar-tolus (9th century), known as Лѣтовникъ. The translation was based on a redaction of the text that most likely has not survived to this day in any Greek (Byzantine) manuscript. The translation was created during the Sec-ond Bulgarian Empire, in the first half of the 14th century, and subsequently became widespread, among others, in the Slavic monastic community on Mount Athos. The manuscript ГИМ, Син. 148 was written – as we read in the colophon – by two monks, Roman and Basil, in the Serbian monastery of Hilandar on Mount Athos, at the request of Radovan, a magnate from the circle of Constantine Dejanović Dragaš (c. 1343–c. 1378), for the needs of his private book collection.pl_PL
