Udział ziemian Mazowsza Płockiego w rozwoju przemysłu w okresie międzywojennym
Abstract
The Płock Mazovia region was mainly agricultural area, therefore it lacked bigger industrial
plants. The existing ones provided services to the agricultural production and other properties. The
landowners often tried to become the owners of distilleries, starch services, dairies, sugar factories,
mills, brewieries, sawmills. For instance, well-known sugar factories founded by the Masovian
landowners were located in Krasiniec in region Ciechanów and Mała Wieś in region of Płock.
The landowners were also involved on creating associations which resulted in opening
diaries. For example, Władysław Rutkowski from Krzykos contributed to the foundation of the
steam dairy in Płock.
A lot of landowners took part in the development of various kind of organizations which
patronized industrial production. For example, Kazimierz Dziewanowski from Grodkowo – the
owner of the distillery and industrial activist – functioned as the president of the Association of
Spirit Producers and the vice president of Polish Spirit Association.
