Orzeszkowiana w Bibliotece Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego
Streszczenie
The article describes a part of the private library of Eliza Orzeszkowa, a famous Polish writer (1841–1910).
There are manuscripts and iconographic documents given as presents to the writer on the occasion of 25th and 40th anniversaries of her literary work. They include: diplomas, letters, albums, and photographies from 1860 to 1890.
In the Cymelia Reading Room (highly valuable holdings) there are 69 books. The majority of them are marked with the seal of Eliza Orzeszkowa’s name. Some books also include her photographies and the autograph. A large part of the collection are her books translated into ten foreign languages. A few translations were dedicated to Eliza Orzeszkowa herself.
