Abstract
Article refers results of continuation – on a strictly contemporary material (2010–2012) – of research by Zygmunt Zagorski over the range of structures based on genitive and locative (typical for macrotoponyms) and structures based on accusative and locative (typical for microtoponyms) in naming of districts of Poznań. The author argues that the change of ‘to’ into ‘on’ is favoured by the passage of time and the metropolitan building zones (blocks of flats), while the behaviour of older (in case of district names of Poznań, which, before being incorporated into the city were villages or suburban settlements) structures based on genitive and locative indicates continuation of an urban distinction.
