Abstract
Marriage repetability belongs to phenomena which always have been existing
among new contracted marriages. Quantities and motives of remarrying
changed in different historical periods. This have been confirmed by long-term
observations of demographic (the mortality level) as well as mental (the propensity
for divorces) changes. The aim of the article is to present basic information
on remarrying, including each next one, as well as on participating persons
(age, civil status, period from last marriage, propensity for choice of partner
about the same marital status) in after-war Poland.
