Abstract

This article addresses the question whether literary legend may be the subject of sociological research? The Revolution structuralist literary resigned from the study of literary legend. The study of literary legend is not the study of literary works. This involves the study of social, cultural, biographical writer living conditions. It follows from this that the legend literary may be the subject of sociological research (sociology of culture). It was presented the theoretical concept of the functioning of literary legend, written by Andrew Z. Makowiecki. He writes about the conditions of the uprising, the existence of a literary legend. It answers the question: What are the features of literary legend in relation to the reception work of the writer.
