Abstract
The text aims to present the analytical solutions rather rarely used in social sciences. These are: the method useful for the discourse analysis (Stephen Toulmin’s model of argument) and text analysis tool used to support the usage of Toulmin’s concept. Few modifications are made to Toulmin’s model and its application. In particular, both are placed within specified fields, also spevified research problems are suggested for them. Examples of how to use both models are described with benefits and problems associated with analytical practice.
