Feminizacja głosu u transpłciowych kobiet i osób różnorodnych płciowo, czyli skuteczność logopedycznej „protezy”

Abstract

The publication presents the state of research and conclusions from the most important international publications on the effectiveness and benefits of voice feminization in transgender women. The first articles on voice feminization were published in the United States in the 1970s. The paper presents the results in terms of raising the fundamental frequency, the results of auditive studies with the participation of independent listeners, and the results of qualitative studies proving the positive impact of therapy on the psycho-emotional state of patients. Voice feminization can effectively and permanently improve the social functioning of transgender women. Expanding the knowledge of speech pathology therapists in Poland on this subject is urgently needed.

Artykuł prezentuje stan badań i wnioski z najważniejszych światowych publikacji dotyczących efektywności feminizacji głosu u transpłciowych kobiet i korzyści z niej płynących. Pierwsze artykuły dotyczące feminizacji głosu ukazały się w Stanach Zjednoczonych już w latach siedemdziesiątych ubiegłego wieku. W opracowaniu przedstawiono wyniki dotyczące podwyższenia częstotliwości podstawowej, wyniki badań audytywnych z udziałem niezależnych słuchaczy oraz wyniki badań jakościowych dowodzących pozytywnego wpływu terapii na stan psychoemocjonalny pacjentek. Feminizacja głosu może skutecznie i trwale poprawić funkcjonowanie społeczne transpłciowych kobiet. Niezbędne jest poszerzenie wiedzy logopedek w Polsce na ten temat.
