Abstract

The 70th anniversary of The Library of Łódź University gave an impulse to summarize the knowledge about the network resource information. This paper explains the essential concepts for online sources. The scientific databases, including collections of books and journals subscribed to the Library in the past 15 years, are presented in the table form. The source selection rules and financing models are also explained. At the end, the auxiliary tools, necessary to efficiently use numerous and dispersed sources, are presented.
