| dc.description.abstract | So far, five of Muriel Spark’s novels have been translated into Polish whereas the German
speaking readers have had a chance to get acquainted with all o f Spark’s prose fiction. Some
of the German translations were published not later than a year after the original. The paper
discusses the reactions of Polish and German speaking critics and their respective evaluations
