The article serves to systematize the notion of "story temporal orientation". According to this category, narrative texts can aim into the past, present or future, all depending on the position that holds a narrator towards his story. By analyzing the temporal distance established between the now of the protagonist and the now of the narrator, the article specifies the significance of the grammar tenses in each of the three groups of narrative texts.pl_PL
