Streszczenie
The story structure in movies is currently one of the main points of interestin storytelling studies. The
most popular film model of plot structure is proposed by Syd Field. In addition to Field’s model of plot
structure of feature films, there are other models popular in the community of American
screenwriters. For example, “8 sequence structure” of Frank Daniel or “Beat Sheet” proposed by Blake
Snyder. This article discusses the theory of the American lecturer, Michał Hauge, “Six-Stage Plot
Structure”. Hauge claims that each "well-constructed" film story consists of six stages that are
separated by five characteristic turning points. The Hauge model is analysed on the example of the
film Gods directed by Łukasz Palkowski.
