Metodologiczne problemy badania roli indywidualnych dochodów ludności w finansowaniu sfery niematerialnej

Abstract

Predominance of studies dealing with public sources of financing allows to suppose that personal incomes play an insignificant role in financing the non-material sphere. Simultaneously, problems of proportions in destribution of consumption funds into their part financed from public resources and the other part financed from personal incomes belong to controversial issues. In order to solve these problems it is necessary to conduct empirical studies, which so far have not received the attention they deserve in Poland. It seems, therefore, that attempts undertaken in this field should be considered important. The article presents assumptions and hypotheses of the studies whose source of information are household budgets. The structure of analyzed data leads to comparisons with regard to the level and structure of the population s expenditure on particular areas belonging to the non-material sphere differentiated according to characteristics of households. Comparison of expenditure from personal incomes with expenditure from the state budget affords possibilities of a wider inference about the role of the population s resources in financing social services.
