dc.description.abstract | The article describes the special character of the work-life programmes functioning in German
companies. Presentation of the instruments adopted by the German firms is preceded by an analysis
of key factors determining work-life balance in Germany, mainly demographic changes and
some elements of social policy. Most of the article’s space is devoted to discussing how German
firms apply the work-life balance programmes to help their employees reconcile their work and
family responsibilities. The article also highlights German achievements in assessing the costs and
benefits involved in implementing the work-life balance instruments. | pl_PL |
