Streszczenie
Building relations with employees and analysing their performance may result in the development
of work-life programmes. As shown by the survey, the definite majority of the interviewed
employers believe that each employee is personally responsible for keeping their work and personal
lives in balance. Accordingly, the investigated firms practically have no knowledge of what
their employees expect and need in this area. They mostly offer their employees holidays in the
requested periods and sporadic days of absence, so that the employees can take care of their personal
matters. Based on the survey’s results, the actions taken by the Lodz region employers to
help their workers reconcile careers and family life cannot be positively evaluated.
