dc.description.abstract | Journalists want to make their articles interesting for readers. Therefore they invent attractive
unusual headlines for their texts. In order to do that they use modifications of well-known
language constructions, including idioms.
Idioms’ modifications mean their desidiomatization, that is transformation in free words’
combinations. Desidiomatization is achieved by structural and semantic changes.
Thanks to their refreshment idioms are given a new “life”. That’s why they are still in use. | pl_PL |
