dc.description.abstractWybrane teksty zyskały bardzo szerokie rzesze odbiorców, wpływając na poglądy i działania części z nich. Zawierają one zabójcze – dosłownie – idee, rezonujące w umysłach tysięcy, a niekiedy milionów ludzi w różnych zakątkach świata. Dokumenty te przyczyniały się w istotny sposób do tworzenia terrorystycznych ideologii, oddziałujących na szerokie masy ludności. Przekonani przez terrorystów ludzie decydowali się na przyłączenie do grup terrorystycznych lub przeprowadzenie samodzielnych zamachów. Choć przedstawione dokumenty dziś są uznawane za niemal „klasyczne” – z jakichś powodów niesłychanie rzadko stają się przedmiotem szerszego akademickiego namysłu i publicznej debaty. Tymczasem zapoznanie się z treściami zawartymi w terrorystycznych tekstach może w istotnym stopniu pomóc w odpowiedzi na ważne pytanie: „Dlaczego terroryści robią to, co robią, czyli zabijają ludzi?”. Nie chodzi tu o indywidualne, szczególne, „psychologiczne” motywacje terrorystów, lecz o motywacje ideowe, które skłaniają ich do podjęcia aktów przemocy. Dzięki lekturze wybranych dokumentów jesteśmy w stanie choć częściowo wniknąć w umysłowość ich twórców i sposób postrzegania przez nich rzeczywistości. Możemy też poznać powody prowadzenia tej specyficznej działalności oraz cele, które chcą osiągnąć terroryści.pl_PL
