Okres niewoli narodowej w odsłonie prywatności – cykl konferencji „Życie prywatne Polaków w XIX wieku”

Abstract

The scientific conference “Private life of Poles in the 19th century” held its twelfth edition this year. Initiated in 2012, the scholarly session serves as a platform for discussions on the experiences of inhabitants of Polish lands during the period of national subjugation, focusing on the realm of privacy. For over a decade, researchers of the 19th century have been uncovering various aspects of the private lives of Poles under the partitions. The perspective on the era proposed by the conference organizers is highly diverse, ranging from the history of gender and age to the history of daily life, dietary practices (food), material culture, death, mentalities, family history, and microhistory.

Konferencja naukowa „Życie prywatne Polaków w XIX wieku” w tym roku miała swoją dwunastą odsłonę. Zapoczątkowana w 2012 r. sesja naukowa stanowi platformę dyskusyjną nad doświadczeniami mieszkańców ziem polskich w okresie niewoli narodowej od strony prywatności. Od ponad dekady badacze XIX stulecia odsłaniają różne obszary życia prywatnego Polaków w realiach zaborowych. Proponowany przez organizatorów konferencji ogląd epoki jest bardzo różnorodny: od historii płci i wieku poprzez historię życia codziennego, praktyk żywieniowych (jedzenia), rzeczy, śmierci, mentalności, po historię rodziny i mikrohistorię.
