Abstract

The Project Vidomi is an attempt to find an answer to the question “What it is and what it is not – to see”. Do we realize the meaning of eyesight? Through the confrontation of blind people or the ones who barely can see with those who have good eyesight, we try to develop alternative working methods, by which we overcame disabilities. By means of synergy of stimuli – a word, a sound, a touch or movement – we create our own language. We learn how to see with our whole body. We discover a world based on different meaning of sight. The sight, which is not limited by being blind or having a blind mind. We cannot be judged basing on stereotypes. Such a work in theatre allows one to overcome the barriers that are put by the society in our everyday lives. The theatre becomes a medium in which we use the differences between us to create the reality together. Being blind does not necessarily mean the living in darkness. And how do you see it?
