Abstract

Presents from the director’s perspective the process of developing a performative project Professional Reels. The basis of the project is the idea of a theatre karaoke, derived through danceoke from traditional vocal karaoke. The evolution of the initial assumptions and creative strategies is contextualized within the context of the anthropology of experience, as the most functional category of research and paradigm relevant to the adopted creative strategies. Of particular importance are the proposals of Victor W. Turner and Roger D. Abrahams, which are supplemented by the reflection of Gilles Deleuze and Dobravka Ugrešić. This allows critical analysis of the relationship between the project to the participants and used in the project video recordings of contemporary dance theater and other cultural performances.
