Topos Żyda Wiecznego Tułacza w utworach W. M. Doroszewicza (w świetle teorii światów dyskursu)

Abstract

W artykule autor podejmuje próbę spojrzenia na topos Żyda Wiecznego Tułacza w dwóch utworach prozatorskich pisarza rosyjskiego Własa Doroszewicza (1865–1922) w duchu poetyki kognitywnej. W tym celu wykorzystuje teorię światów dyskursu. Pozwala mu to na zrozumienie tego, co dzieje się w umyśle czytelnika podczas recepcji wymienionego toposu oraz na głębsze poznanie mechanizmów warunkujących myśli i emocje odbiorcy.

This study is intended to explore the topos of the Wandering Jew in two narrative texts by Russian writer Vlas Mikhailovich Doroshevich (1865–1922). Working within the domain of cognitive poetics, and the theory of discourse worlds in particular, Witold Kowalczyk focuses upon the mechanisms through which the topos is conceptualized, as well as on the reader’s intellectual and emotional engagement in the texts.
