Abstract

In an article we present the profile of Helena Więckowska which is based on the memories of her closest co-workers including Michał Kuna, Krystyna Bielska and also Krystyna Pieńkowska and Anna Sitarska. We characterise her research work in the area of librarianship but also her private life and her role as a mother and wife. We also want to remind about the main achievements of Helena Więckowska as a director of the Library of the Łódź University as well as Warsaw stage of her activity.
