Abstract

The essey trackles the issue of the activities of the Łódź University Library at the Faculty of Geography Science as for as collecting, processing and accessing the data are concened. The following issuses have been discussed: traditional and current methods of librarian activity, basic issues of scientific information including the library data sources, data bases available online in the University network, digital libraries resources as well as the techniques of collecting information from the accessible vast networks.
