Abstract
The article presents the work of Leszek Mądzik, founder of Scena Plastyczna (Visual Stage),
the theater existed since the 70s of the 20th century, at the Catholic University of Lublin.
Performances of the theater are not based on literary texts, they limit the acting to a minimum.
Mądzik shows a sequence of images that are created with poor materials: wrapping
paper, ropes, cords, and wooden dummies. The illusion is achieved through the valorization
of darkness and light.
