Streszczenie
The article is dedicated to means of verbal aggression analysis based on ethnocultural traits of Russian, Polish and Ukrainian mentality. Taking into consideration nicknames, irony as ethnocultural means, the author analyzes their usage in political articles. Based on such analysis the author comes to the conclusion that such means of verbal aggression as nicknames are typical mainly for Ukrainian (Russian-language) articles. On the other hand nicknames, that regularly appear in the language used by Polish politicians, are characteristic for oral language, not for journalism. Irony is typical both for Ukrainian and Polish articles. It is mainly based on a person’s appearance, which could be explained by, characteristic for Europe, Napoleonʼs stereotype.
