Ranking potencjału innowacyjnego polskich regionów z wykorzystaniem miar syntetycznych

Abstract

The innovative capacity ranking of Polish regions using syntactic indicator. The article is presenting results of analyses carried out with the multidimensional comparative analysis. For examining the innovative potential of regions they used two synthetic measures: the Hellwig’s taxonomical measure of development and the syntactic indicator proposed by Perkal. The examination was carried out basing on three temporal points — 2000, 2003 and 2006. Basing on fteen systematized rates into three groups a ranking of regions who was analysed was worked out. The special attention was devoted to regions who were examined with method case study. The examination showed that the innovative potential of Polish regions was undergoing constant changes. It was visible particularly in regions about average and rock bottom of the innovative potential. Changing standards to which it is possible to compare all regions, that is average values were an important aspect used in the factor analysis. In most cases they demonstrated upturns, comparing the base year and the last period of analysis.
