Socjalne kryteria polityki cen żywności w świetle badań sondażowych
Streszczenie
The article presents findings of surveys dealing with social perception of subsidizing prices of basic foodstuffs. The undertaken studies aimed, on the one hand, at describing general methodological assumptions about possibilities of examining the public opinion in the field of socio-welfare determinants shaping retail prices and, on the other hand, at presenting survey, results in a synthetic way. The studies allowed to formulate a general conclusion that in the conditions of existing level and structure of the population's incomes the policy of subsidizing basic foodstuffs finds a wide social acceptance. In the public awareness, redistributive income effects of subsidizing food prices are considered to be a peculiar socio-wellare protection measure. The opinions expressed by the respondents are not uniform and they
tend to differ according ‘to various socio-economic criteria.
