Onomastyczne konteksty historii języka

Abstract

Artykuł dotyczy problemu, jak onomastyka może służyć rozmaitym subdyscyplinom historii języka i językoznawstwa w ogóle — od gramatyki historycznej, przez leksykologię, stylistykę, pragmatykę, aż do tekstologii i mediolingwistyki. Nazwy własne mogą być źródłem wiedzy o samym języku: poziom słownika, tekstu czy stylu, ale też stanowią bazę do obserwacji dziejów kultury jako takiej: przeobrażenia etykietalne, obraz dziejów zawarty w dyskursie medialnym.

The paper concerns the problem how onomastics may serve various subdisciplines of history of the language and linguistics in general — from historical grammar, through lexicology, stylistics, pragmatics up to text linguistics and media linguistics. Proper names can be the source of the knowledge of the language itself, what confirm lexis, text and style levels. They also constitute the grounds for observations of the culture history, what prove etiquette metamorphosis and the world picture included in media discourse.
