Lwów jako miejsce stacjonowania wojsk jagiellońskich w latach 1469–1520

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the presence of Jagiellonian troops – Polish, Lithuanian, and occasionally Teutonic – in Lviv at the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the early modern period. As the most important city in the Ruthenian lands of the Kingdom of Poland, Lviv was almost constantly serving as a concentration point and logistics base for mercenary troops of the regular defence forces (obrona potoczna), the royal court banner (curienses), and the general levy of the nobility (pospolite ruszenie), both during defensive and offensive operations.

Artykuł poświęcony jest obecności wojsk jagiellońskich – polskich oraz litewskich, a także epizodycznie krzyżackich we Lwowie na przełomie wieków średnich i nowożytności. Lwów jako najważniejsze miasto na ziemiach ruskich Królestwa Polskiego często był miejscem koncentracji oraz bazą logistyczną dla zaciężnych obrony potocznej, królewskiej chorągwi nadwornej (curienses) oraz pospolitego ruszenia, zarówno podczas działań obronnych, jak i zaczepnych.
