Ocena ryzyka powodziowego jako element wdrażania Dyrektywy Powodziowej – przykład Uniejowa

Abstract

Th e main objective of this article is to assess the flood risk on the area exposed to floods in Uniejów. Th e assessment was made based on the analysis of the land use. In the article the 100-year water was divided into four problem areas: objects of social importance, valuable natural areas and objects of cultural heritage, objects posing hazard for human and environment, areas that generate economic losses. Diff erentiation of flood risk is a very important issue in the context of flood protection. Risk assessment is an extremely diffi cult task, as same as issue of protection of river valleys. Buildings occur on the area of 100-year water in the city. During a flood event, the biggest losses are over there. Th e implication is the location of Uniejów, below the storage reservoir, which leads to the intensification of land use.
